Paula Kahn Chinquapin Designs, LLC Natural Material

The Allegheny Chinquapin usually bears one well-protected nut per prickly burr. The tree, once found in abundance, has been decimated by the same blight that wiped out the American Chestnut.

These jewels from nature are made to raise awareness of a vanishing species.

Briana Morris Briana Morris Two Dimensional

As a child, I was interested in art and that interest never faded. Although photography remains only a hobby, I have been recognized in regional exhibitions for my photography and I received Best in Show at the 2010 Rhythm and Roots Reunion. I am honored to have such great family and friends, to have an amazing God by my side, and to live in such a beautiful region with a community that is so talented and passionate for the arts.

Cecil Parsons Cecil Parsons Wood

Woodworking became a hobby to me after retirement and I was influenced by my oldest brother, Jerry, and a good friend who is a woodworker in WV. I've enjoyed making a few pieces of furniture but have enjoyed more making nice writing pens and pencils of local woods especially but also of exotic woods from overseas. It has been a pleasure to give many of my pens to family and friends and I hope they will be a good investment for others.

Melinda Payne The Muddy Hound Clay

My work reflects a variety of influences from nature. I like for my work to be functional so that the interaction of the person using it completes the piece. My main work is in clay but I also paint in oils, acrylics, and watercolor.

Julie Powell Julie Powell Fiber

I create wall hangings, bed quilts, decorative pillow covers, placemats etc. During 30+ years of quilting and other forms of needlework, I have used both traditional and contemporary patterns, as well as original designs. Techniques include pieced and appliqued blocks, whole cloth quilting and decorative stitching. I specialize in fine hand quilting, but use machine quilting if it will enhance the piece. I also accept custom design commissions.
