Cecilia Riegert Creations Metal

My studio is located at my home in the beautiful mountain town of Blacksburg, Virginia; where I live with my husband and dog.

Each necklace, earring or bracelet is an unique design; inspired by beautiful gemstones found in nature, such as Amethyst, Citrine, Garnet, Lapis, Jade, Turquoise....
And by the ocean ....with freshwater pearls, coral ,and sea glass collected along the beaches of Maine, North Carolina and Florida....

All the findings are of fine copper, sterling silver or 14k gold-filled....many of the clasps have been designed to be worn as the focal point of the piece.... including original designs in PMC or Precious Metal Clay, a clay-like substance that when fired in a kiln becomes .999 silver.
...my copper, including shawl pins, are hand-etched.

My jewelry can be created for any special occasion, especially weddings. For the bride, the mother-of -the-bride, or bridesmaid...a necklace, bracelet or earrings can be custom designed to match the style of your gown and your personality...and, is the perfect gift to remember this day

I am an award-winning quilter with more than 20 years of experience. I consider myself a traditional quilter, but I occasionally do some contemporary designs. I am dedicated to quality and attention to detail. I strictly hand quilt and my stitches have earned several blue ribbons. I also excel in needle-turn applique. As well as using patterns, I also design my own. I am available for commission and will create custom quilts ranging from small wallhanging size up to a king-size quilt.

Quilting is my life's passion and I go into every new project with reckless abandon! I am also the daughter of Sondra Blevins, another well-known quilter. She laid the foundations...thanks, Mom!

Joanie Prater Squirreley Worley Acorns Wood

Born in the midst of the Appalachins Mountains I am a lifelong resident of Smyth County in Southwest Virginia being raised in Rich Valley and Chilhowie. I've lived at the foot of Little Brushy Mountain for the past eighteen years.
Having eighty acres of land to explore with my dogs, I have ample room to roam and think, but I'm still not sure where the idea for acorn jewlery came from. The hard mast crop of acorns in 2010 was enormous. While waling in the woods I strted filling my pockets with acorns and collected baskets fulll but the idea of what to do with them didn't come until the fall of 2011. I have tree stands on three different levels of the mountain. I don't hunt but enjoy watching all the wildlife. I must have spent too much time in the woods the day the idea of making acorn jewlery hit me like a lightning bolt. Working with acorns has brought back many wonderful childhood memories of playing for hours in the woods surrounding my home in Oak Grove. I hope you enjoy wearing Squirreley Worley Acorns as much as I enjoy making them.

Randy Powers Woodworks by Randy Wood
Edith & Patty Powers Edith and Patty Powers Natural Material

My mom and I live in Whitetop, Va located in Grayson Co, very close to the North Carolina line. We work together to create different crafts. We raise chickens and use their eggs to dye, using the Ukrainian Psanky dye style. Because we have different breeds of chickens, our eggs vary greatly in size and color. Often we have tiny little bantam eggs and big eggs from Giant Black hens. The eggs come in all shades of white, tan, brown and even blue green. These variations effect the colors of the dyes so no egg is ever the same. We also make trees using folded fabric squares as well as Christmas ornaments and faux topiaries. These are usually set on candle sticks or flower pots and decorated with ribbons, beads, buttons and other knick knacks. When We have time we also get in the occassional small quilting project, usually small table toppers, candle mats, or dolls quilts.
