About five miles north of the town of Floyd, on Route 8, turn east onto Slusher Store Road (705), then right onto Thunderstruck Road (706). Drive about 2 miles up the mountain. Turn left at the sign.From Christiansburg Pike (615) turn onto Thunderstruck Road (706). Drive about 2 miles and turn right at the sign. (Christiansburg Pike runs between Pilot Virginia and US 221 on the north end of the town of Floyd, US 221 runs from Roanoke Virginia south to Floyd or from Hillsville Virginia north to Floyd).
