Lost World Ranch Historic and Educational Farms Tazewell

Lost World Ranch is devoted to raising two humped (Bactrian) camels and appaloosa llamas. On the ranch at present there are 51 camels, this is the largest herd in North America. At present there are 21 white Bactrian Camels on the ranch. We are now offering tours of the ranch, tour times are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, weekends by appointment at a cost of $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child (ages 5-12) Come see us!

Matthews Living History Farm Museum Historic and Educational Farms Galax

The Museum is a 21 acre working farm including barns, a workshop, farm house, spring house, circa 1850 log cabin, and a pavilion with bathrooms & working fireplace. Our 3 annual heritage events showcase area artisans and their wares. A variety of demonstrators set up around the grounds, demonstrating skills used on the farm circa 1900. Field crops and gardens are on display. Farming methods of the time period are demonstrated.
