We are pleased you are submitting your information for membership in 'Round the Mountain: Southwest Virginia's Artisan Network. RTM defines artisans as people who make handmade objects without the use of kits, commercial molds and whose primary components are not manufactured. This includes producers of agricultural specialties and farmers who have a direct connection with the culture and heritage of the region. One of the benefits of membership (Click here for Membership Overview) is to be included in the online RTM Craft Registry. You can opt out of the registry as you complete the form, but all artisan members must complete the form. Opting out means you will not be included in the searchable registry, but will retain your other benefits of RTM membership. We are very excited about making this resource - a directory of all artisans in southwest Virginia who choose to participate - available. We get requests weekly for the different types of information included on the form. The Craft Registry will enable users to search by your name or business name, by your medium, by your county or any keyword from your description or affiliations, etc., as well as price range and type of sales.

Each artisan will have one page which will include a description of your work, an image, places where your work can be seen/purchased and how you can be contacted (or not.) Note that the form has some required fields and also allows you to choose what information you want to keep private (i.e., location, phone, etc.). You are not required to submit an image.

Online Submission of Image Guidelines

1. Your image must be in .jpg format
2. Your image resolution must not be greater than 300 dpi
3. Your image file size must not be greater than 1 M
4. You may submit only one image per submission

Mailed Submission of Image Guidelines
Unless requested otherwise, photographs will not be returned.

1. Your image must be either a clear photograph or slide or .jpg on CD.
2. You must include your full name and phone number/email address with the mailed package.

We will review the information for completeness and "publish" it on the website within 7 business days. We reserve the right to final approval of submissions to the site.
